The article presents a speech by Jacob Neusner, professor of religious studies at Brown University and Judaic scholar of international repute, delivered at a commencement exercise at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island in 1981. He describes the role of the faculty in preparing students for a world that does not exist. He emphasized that those who quit or leave Brown are no heroes. He reveals the sacrifices made by the faculty for their students. He quoted an address by Professor Carter A. Daniel.
