The article presents a speech by Dr. Thomas J. Barrett at a meeting of the First District dental Society of the State of New York at the New York Academy of Medicine, October 1, 1923, in which he discussed professional ethics in the dental field, the construction of the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, and the dental profession.
