ABSTRACT
The article presents a speech by dentist Frederick A. Bricker at a meeting of the First District Dental Society of the State of New York at the New York Academy of Medicine, December 12, 1922, in which he discussed the role education plays in preventative medicine, explaining the causes of periodontal disease and tooth decay to patients, and on incidences of periclasia that happen due to harder dental gold alloys that are less malleable.
