The article presents an edited version of a speech by Bill Kovach, founding member of the Committee of Concerned Journalists of the Society of Professional Journalists, delivered at the annual convention of the organization, October 2005. He discusses the contributions of digital media to journalism. He also assessed the risks associated with the changes in journalism.
