ABSTRACT
The article presents a speech by Susan L. Karamanian, associate dean for International and Comparative Legal Studies at George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C., delivered at a symposium held by the "Albany Law Review." She discusses the role of international or foreign law in the U.S. law system, the Article 36 of the Vienna Convention, and the compliance of the U.S. with the International Court of Justice under the United Nations Charter.
