ABSTRACT
The article presents the author's speech delivered on March 25, 1947, in favor of adopting universal military training program. According to the author, to maintain the effectiveness of the U.S., as a member of United Nations, the nation must be strong and the world must know about it. The nation was forced in the World Wars because it was not strong enough to effectively stand for the peace. The responsibility for building a just and workable world order rests largely on the U.S. But a weak nation cannot contribute anything to the stable world community.
