ABSTRACT
Information about the sculpture "Grace Darling Monument," by C. Raymond Smith and designed by architectural firm Hicks and Charleswood in England is presented. The artwork is a canopied tomb patterned after the Decorated Gothic style with a carved recumbent figure of the saintly-looking heroine holding a stone oar by her side. It was restored by Frederick Richard Wilson in 1885 and erected in 1884.
