ABSTRACT
Flicker, a large woodpecker native to North America. Unlike most other woodpeckers, flickers are often seen on the ground, where they feed on ants. Flickers usually nest in holes made in trees by themselves or other woodpeckers. Both parents incubate the eggs, and both feed the young.
