ABSTRACT
An encyclopedia entry for "Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) Binary Extensible Markup Language (XML)" (WBXML) in wireless communication is presented. It is a compact representation of XML. It is also a part of the presentation logic in WAP. It relates the impact of WBXML on the efficiency of transmitting XML over narrow bandwidth networks.
