ABSTRACT
A definition of the term "twilight sleep" is presented. It refers to a state of partial anesthesia and hypoconsciousness in which pain sense is reduced by the injection of morphine and scopolamine. In the past, it was used as a method of analgesia for childbirth and minor surgery.
