ABSTRACT
A definition of the term "tissue expansion, soft," is presented. It refers to a technique which is used in plastic surgery. The technique is used to expand skin before removing an area of the skin to get a more cosmetic wound closure. To expand the tissue, more than one expander balloons are inserted under the skin. These balloons are expanded by increasing the amount of saline solution in them.
