ABSTRACT
A definition of the term "survival," is presented. It means a narrow escape from the death. Graft survival is persistent functioning of a transplanted organ or tissue in a recipient of that organ. The factors which influence the survival rates of transplanted organs are the age and health status of the donor and the recipient of the graft.
