ABSTRACT
A definition of the term "surrogate," is presented. It refers to a replacement or an emotional substitute for another. In terms of psychoanalysis, surrogate is the representation of a person whose identity is hidden from conscious recognition and a figure which represent one's loved one. Sex surrogate is a professional sex partner who assist people with sexual dysfunction.
