ABSTRACT
Several references for the term "stomach" including bilocular stomach, cardiac stomach, and cow horn stomach are presented. Stomach is a muscular saclike portion of the alimentary tube lying between the esophagus and duodenum. It has two openings including the upper cardiac orifice which opens from the esophagus and the lower pyloric orifice which opens into the duodenum. Its wall has four layers. Stomach allows digestion to take place gradually.
