ABSTRACT
A definition of the term "spermatozoon" is presented. It refers to the mature male sex or germ cell formed within the seminiferous tubules of the testes. The spermatozoon has a broad oval flattened head with a nucleus and a protoplasmic neck or middle piece and tail. It develops after puberty from the spermatids in the testes in enormous quantities.
