ABSTRACT
A definition of the term "speech" is presented. It refers to the verbal expression of one's thoughts. It also means the act of uttering articulate words or sounds. Words that are spoken for the purpose of communication are also called speech. External speech needs the coordination of the larynx, mouth, lips, chest, and abdominal muscles.
