ABSTRACT
A definition of the term "solution" is presented. It refers to the process by which a solid is homogeneously mixed with a fluid, solid, or gas so that the dissolved substances cannot be distinguished from the resultant fluid. It also refers to a mixture formed by dissolution of substances.
