ABSTRACT
A definition of the term "slump test" is presented. It refers to a test that is used to determine the effects of tension on the neuromeningeal tract. The patient is directed to sit slumped forward and then the patient's knee is extended. Positive signs include inability to extend the knee fully, and production of back or leg pain.
