ABSTRACT
A definition of the term "semicanalis" is presented. The term refers a channel opening on one side. Semicanalis musculi tensoris tympani is the semicanal of the tensor tympani muscle in the temporal bone. The semicanal of the auditory tube is known as semicanalis tubae auditivae.
