ABSTRACT
A definition of the term "rope ladder" is presented. It is a device meant for helping a person pull up from a supine to a seated position in bed. This ladder is usually made of two strands of rope with several rigid plastic or wooden rungs that are strung at intervals. At one end is the first of several rungs that are used to graband pull oneself up, whereas at the other end, the ropes are attached to the bed frame at the foot of the bed.
