ABSTRACT
A definition of the term "Rastafarian" is presented. It refers to a religious cult in Jamaica having members in the Caribbean, Europe, Canada, and the U.S. It is of medical importance because the dietary practices of cult members' may lead to vitamin B12 deficiency and megaloblastic anemia.
