ABSTRACT
A definition of the term "progress notes" is presented. It refers to notes made on the chart by those involved in caring for a patient. Notes are recorded by physicians, nurses, consultants, and therapists concerning the progress or lack of progress made by the patient in the interim between the previous note and the time of the most recent note.
