ABSTRACT
A definition of the term "polymer fume fever" is presented. It refers to the condition resulting from breathing fumes produced by certain polymers when they are heated to 300- 700C or higher. Tight gripping sensation of the chest associated with shivering, sore throat, fever and weakness are the symptoms.
