ABSTRACT
A definition of the term "polarization" is presented. It refers to a condition in which vibrations occur in a ray of light in only one plane. In a galvanic battery, polarization refers to the collection of hydrogen on the negative plate, and oxygen on the positive plate, which hinders the generation of current. In a cell membrane, polarization is an electrical state in which it gets negatively charged from inside in relation to its outside due to the difference in the distribution of ions.
