ABSTRACT
A definition of the medical term paraquat is presented. The term refers a toxic chemical used in agriculture to kill certain weeds. The paraquat damages the skin on contact and if ingested may cause vomiting, diarrhea, liver, renal and pulmonary disease. The chemical is sometimes present as a contaminant in marijuana.
