ABSTRACT
The definitions and symbolisms of the letter P are presented. P can mean position, posterior, postpartum, pressure, pulse, or pupil. P is the symbol for the element phosphorus. It is also the symbol for partial pressure, preferably italicized. P also stands for probability. These definitions are from the "Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary," published by F.A. Davis Co.
