ABSTRACT
The definitions for the terms "oxypathia" and "oxypathy" are presented. They refer to unusual acuity of sensation or an acute condition. They also refer to a condition in which the body is unable to eliminate unoxidizable acids, which combine with fixed alkalies of the tissues and harm the organism. The terms originated from the Greek words "oxynein," to make acid, and "pathos," disease or suffering.
