ABSTRACT
A definition of the term "neurasthenia" is presented. It is an old term which is used occasionally to signify psychosomatic illness. Its symptoms include chronic fatigue, lassitude, weakness panic attacks and noncardiogenic chest pain. Other terms used which encompass the idea of neurasthenia includes chronic fatigue and depression.
