ABSTRACT
A definition of the medical term "moxibustion" is presented. Moxibustion refers to cauterization and counterirritation used to treat disease by means of a cylinder or cone of cotton wool, called a moxa, placed on the skin and fired at the top. The definition is from the "Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary," published by F.A. Davis Co.
