ABSTRACT
A definition of the medical term "keratohyalin" is presented. The term refers to the precursor of keratin, present in the form of granules in the cytoplasm of cells in the stratum granulosum of keratinized mucosa or epidermis of the skin. The definition is from the "Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary," published by F.A. Davis Co. The pronunciation of the term is also provided.
