ABSTRACT
Definitions of the term "isobaric" are presented. The term means specific gravity equal to that with which it is being compared. For instance, an anesthetic solution used in spinal anesthesia, if isobaric, would have the same specific gravity as the spinal fluid. It also means pressure equal to that with which it is being compared. The definitions are from the "Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary," published by F.A. Davis Co.
