ABSTRACT
A definition of the term "Intelligence" is presented. Intelligence refers to the capacity to comprehend relationships, the ability to think, to solve problems, and adjust to new situations. The term originated from the word "intelligere" which means to understand. The definition is from the "Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary," published by F.A. Davis Co. The pronunciation of the term is also provided.
