ABSTRACT
A definition of the medical term hyposteatolysis is presented. Hyposteatolysis refers to a diminished emulsification of fats during digestion. The term is derived from the Greek words "hypo" which means under, beneath or below, "stear" which means fat and "lysis" which means dissolution. The definition is from the "Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary," published by F. A. Davis Co.
