ABSTRACT
A definition of the medical term "diatrizoate sodium" is presented. Diatrizoate sodium refers to a high-osmolarity, water-soluble contrast medium with the cation consisting of sodium during ionic dissociation. It is applied to visualize various hollow body organs such as kidney, bladder, uterus and fallopian tubes. The definition is from the "Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary," published by F. A.
