ABSTRACT
A definition of the medical term "cysticercoid" is presented. Cysticercoid refers to the larval encysted form of a tapeworm which differs with a cysticercus in having a much reduced bladder. The term originated from the words "kerkos" and "eidos" which means tail, form and shape. The definition is from the "Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary," published by F. A. Davis Co.
