ABSTRACT
The third Preservation Day took place at the University of Potsdam Griebnitzsee on 8 October 2013 and was organized by the centre of excellence for preservation issues in archives and libraries in Berlin and Brandenburg. A brief outline of the lectures, workshops, presentations and guided tours will be given in these proceedings. Some of the main issues were the regional pilot projects run by the Coordination Office for the Preservation of the Written Cultural Heritage (KEK) in 2012, service centers for digitization projects in Berlin and Brandenburg as well as the new mechanical electrostatic cleaning system for culturally valuable objects located in Hildesheim.
