ABSTRACT
The article discusses the highlights of the event held on September 29, 2013 in Iowa City, Iowa wherein Nebraska human rights activist Katie Huerter spoke amid threats and harassment from hasbara operatives. The event was sponsored by People for Justice in Palestine (PJP) and Iowa City Public Library (ICPL). During the event, Huerter focused on the stories of an Israeli mother and a Palestinian mother who were both affected by Israel's illegal occupation of Palestine.
