The article discusses the highlights of "Examining the Intersection of Arts Education and Special Education: A National Forum," that took place at the John F. Kennedy for the Performing Arts in July 2012. The purpose of the forum was to establish a national agenda centered on arts and special education. The goals generated include creating a national consortium on arts education and special education and encouraging more research with larger numbers of students with disabilities.
