ABSTRACT
The article reports on the 4th German Internet Governance Forum in Berlin, Germany, on May 7, 2012, which was dedicated to the relationship between the Internet and human rights and civil liberties. Topics discussed included the Internet as a human right, international cooperation in the areas of cyber-security and guaranteeing Internet freedom, and the social responsibility of Internet users. The article also points to the relevance of these topics to librarians and libraries.
