ABSTRACT
This article is a summary of the events which took place at the conference, " Historia badań radiacyjnych w Polsce," which was held in honor of the International Year of Chemistry, 2011. The event was organized by the Towarzystwo Naukowe Warszawskie, Komitet Chemii Polskiej Akademii Nauk Instytut Historii Nauki im. Ludwika i Aleksandra Birkenmajerów Polskiej Akademii Nauk and held on November 14, 2011, at the Staszic Palace in Warsaw, Poland. This anniversary event noted the study of radiation/radioactivity in Poland since 1911, the year when Marie Curie received her Nobel Prize in Chemistry. It also chronicled other work in this field done by Polish researchers from 1896 to 2011.
