ABSTRACT
The article discusses the highlights of the 2012 Rice Leadership Development's initial session held on April 2-6. Class members were given an overview of rice production and domestic and international marketing programs from the staff of Houston, Texas-based U.S.A. Rice Federation and other speakers. Participants also visited several places including the RiceTec Inc. rice storage facility where hybrid rice production technology was discussed. A roster of the class members is also given.
