ABSTRACT
The article offers information about the U.S. National School Boards Association's (NSBA) Annual Conference from April 21-23, 2012 in Boston, Massachusetts, where attendants discussed advocacy for the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Now campaign which calls for the U.S. Congress to reauthorize and update the ESEA. The conference also offered sessions on the U.S. Common Core education standards, funding for a program on teacher effectiveness, and child nutrition implementation.
