ABSTRACT
The article discusses the highlights of the Annual Convention & EXPO of the National Retail Federation (NRF) in New York City in 2012 that is said to show the changing retail landscape. Among the topics tackled were omni-channel, seamless customer experience and mobile commerce. Sucharita Mulpuru of Forrester Research cited factors that drive shoppers to the Web, including free shipping. An update on retailing from a global perspective was presented by retail economist Doctor Ira Kalish.
