ABSTRACT
The article discusses the highlights of the annual Seminar of the South West Centre of the Railway Division of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers on high speed trains at the STEAM museum in Swindon, England in 2011. Andrew Skinner of First Great Western introduced the seminar by calling on the IC125 Owners & Operators Club to share an enthusiasm for seeking common solutions. John Doughty of Angel Trains talked about electrical and mechanical integrity. Simon Lomax of Porterbrook Leasing concluded the day reviewing the Mk3 coach BT10 bogie.
