ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the two-day symposium on baseball hosted by the Library of Congress held on October 2 and 3, 2009. The speakers of the event included Hall of Fame player Ernie Banks, pitcher, broadcaster, and manager Larry Dierker, baseball language expert Paul Dickson and Negro League pitcher Mami Johnson. It is noted that the Library has baseball-related prints, photographs, manuscripts, and music, and the collection of oral history interviews by the American Folklife Center.
