ABSTRACT
The article discusses the highlights of the "The 21st Century Skills Map for the Arts," held in the Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington D.C. on July 15, 2010. Each art discipline chose one writer and one student to present an example of how a particular art form is critical in teaching/learning creativity, communication and collaboration. Speakers included Dale Schmidt, student Elliah Heifetz and Deborah Reeve. The skills map was created by American Alliance for Theatre & Education in partnership with other arts education organizations.
