ABSTRACT
The article reports on the discussion of the proposals to change the name of the British Veterinary Association (BVA) Animal Welfare Foundation (AWF) during the BVA Council meeting held at the Royal Institute of British Architects in London, England on July 14, 2010. The AWF is proposing to change the name to just Animal Welfare Foundation and to include a strapline emphasising its connection with BVA. Trustee Tony Andrews expressed concern about the loss of the BVA in the name of the foundation. The proposal was approved on a vote by Council members.
