ABSTRACT
Information about the joint meeting of the Northern Virginia Council and Mid-Atlantic Region of the Navy League of the United States that was held on September 9, 2009 in Virginia is presented. It states that Admiral Gary Roughead, U.S. Navy chief of naval operations (CNO), was the guest speaker of the meeting. It says that the event includes the honoring of a wounded warrior, the U.S. Coast Guard Sailor of the Quarter from Station Washington, and the adoption of a local U.S. Marine Corps unit.
