ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the Institute of Travel and Tourism (ITT) conference that was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in June 2009. Tim Williamson, customer director of TUI Travel UK, has expressed frustration at the decline in emphasis on environmental protection issues amid concern about trading. According to Mike Greenacre, managing director of Co-operative Travel, the recession has resulted in a fundamental change in the tourism industry.
