ABSTRACT
The article discusses the highlights of the 2009 World of Concrete held in Las Vegas, Nevada from February 3-6, 2009. The decline in this year's attendance can be attributed to money woes and business anxiety. Kobelco, Cemex and New Holland are some of the companies that skipped the annual trade show. The event was used by the Portland Cement Association (PCA) to launch its paving promotion plan. PCA Vice President Mark Justman expressed his skepticism over the impact of the economic stimulus plan on the industry.
